Colleen's family and my family are close friends and it is always wonderful to see her or her family. I can vividly remember her eyes welling up when her mom and dad would leave and I was babysitting. I'd sit with her for a half hour so begging her to stop crying and assuring her that they'd be back. Then for the rest of the night , she'd be the happiest baby and I still can' t believe " collbugs" is all grown up and graduating this year. She has turned out to be exactly what I thought she'd be, a thoughtful, intelligent, fun and beautiful adult!

I loved this wedding! Corrine and Aaron were so great. The wedding was held at the Grosse Pointe Academy chapel , followed by a little bowling and a reception at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. Even though it was a little brisk , the rain held off and we took some photos by the water.

This wedding was full of touching details, great grandmother's hankerchief and buttonhook, and a rosary the bride got at the Vatican when she was living in Rome.


She was promised chocolate if she walked down the aisle , and she earned it! :)

Meet "J-P". His mom and I go way back to 1996- where we both spent many hours in the Art building of Saint Mary's College. She found out that I was living in Ann Arbor, and she tracked me down and boy, I am glad. Not only do I get to reconnect with a friend, but look at her cute son! Do little boys get any cuter than this little guy?


The leaves proved to be a formidable distraction..but a nice curious moment.

where does the time go?

This is "G. " I met her as a baby and now she is a 100 percent bona fide, pink wearing, dolly carrying little girl. She and her parents were such a delight. It took a while for her to come out of her shell ( as you might see in the photos... ) but she broke out of her shell by creating drawings in the sand, jumping off a stump , rolling down the hill, and playing a flute ( it was a stick, but she was convincing with her skills, so now I am convinced it was a flute, too! )

samantha, her mom and myself spent most of the morning trekking through the wet grass. we had a lot of fun, playing on the merry go round, going down the slide, walking around town. Here is a sneak peak at our hike around town this morning.... enjoy!
